These character designs are part of an ongoing project where I challenged myself to create my own original children's story and then create character designs for that story. This story was created to teach children about the different stages of grief caused by the loss of a loved one and how a child may process those individual emotions. In this case, I made each emotion or stage into a land in which there are strange characters that are all linked to the emotion the land represents.

These set of images is part of a project where I made character designs for a short comic or narrative, for which I created the concept idea.

It is primarily based on a fantasy genre and features two main monster clans and a human clan, all three of which are fighting against each other. The humans are seen as monster hunters and the two monster clans see each other as inferior versions of their species based on their difference in values and culture. One clan values magic and intelligence while one values strength and nature to survive.

The overall concept is a world where three worlds are at war with each other, yet the main characters who are so different and come from different sides of the war, unite and find themselves to be not so different on their journey, therefore giving the message that although everyone looks different, we are all living creatures and sometimes we need each other to survive effectively.

The next set of images is based on a book by the name of Swallows and Amazons, where I created character designs of the main characters based on the descriptions provided, research on the time period and their personalities.

This image was part of a project to do with different ranges of character designs, so I created a large poster filled with different character designs and how colour can affect the representation of each character. I made each character represent certain aspects of their colour, such as red being anger.

However, i also made character designs that are linked in other way to their respective colour, including animals and/or objects that are often associate to those colours.
